This is a story of boy is girl ...
The fuse is lit from the first day, when Tom (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) a budding architect turned into a sappy greeting card writer, meets Summer (Zooey Deschanel), the beautiful and fresh new secretary of his boss off the plane from Michigan. Although seemingly out of reach, Tom soon discovers he has a lot of things in common with Summer. After all, you both love The Smiths. The two have a weakness for the surrealist artist Magritte. Once Tom was living in Jersey and Summer has a cat named Bruce. As Tom says, musing, we are consistent even in the latter.
By day 31, things are moving forward, albeit informal. On day 32, Tom is hopelessly beaten, and still lives in a fantasy world and dizzying with Summer in his mind. By day 185, the situation is already in serious limbo, but not without hope. And as the story rewinds back and forth through the well again, wrong again, sometimes happy, sometimes tumultuous flirtation with Tom and Summer, the story covers the entire territory dizzying, from falling in love , dating and sex to separation, recriminations and redemption in a whirlwind of jumps in time, split screens, karaoke numbers and enthusiasm film, all of which add to the kaleidoscopic portrait of why and how we are striving so as laughable and despicable way to find love ... and hope to make it real.
