Never released in the USA on compact disc, this album was released as a sort of revenge by Columbia after Bob left the label to go to Asylum Records to record Planet Waves. Almost universally disparaged and dismissed as the worst ever Dylan album, this 1973 collection of covers recorded in 1969/70 during the Self Portrait and New Morning sessions is actually not at all bad. It's well-performed and nicely arranged and I was very pleasantly surprised at how good this album is. This is from the Austrian compact disc edition.
