Slow Train Coming is singer-songwriter Bob Dylan's 19th studio album, originally released in 1979 by Columbia Records. It was the artist's first effort since becoming a born-again Christian, and all of the songs either express his strong personal faith, or stress the importance of serving Jesus. The evangelical nature of the record alienated many of Dylan's existing fans; at the same time, many Christians were drawn into his fan base. The album was still generally well-reviewed in the secular press, and the single "Gotta Serve Somebody" became his first hit in three years, winning Dylan the Grammy for best rock vocal performance by a male in 1980. Mark Knopfler appears on guitar. About Sony DSD remastering:In view that DSD and PCM are conceptually different, it is not possible to make a direct comparison between the two. However, an actual physical analysis shows that DSD is comparable in signal quality to a PCM format having a bit depth of 20-bits and a sampling frequency of 192kHz. PCM does not provide anywhere near the same high sampling rate of 2.82MHz as with Direct Stream Digital recording. This exceptional high sampling rate leads to a digital representation that is remarkably close to the analog waveform.
