BOXSET INCLUDES

The Peter Pan Formula
South Korea - Cho Chang Ho, 2006
Released on DVD for the first time, Cho Chang Ho's remarkable and unpredictable debut film revolves around teenager Han Soo (Ohn Joo Wan, Flying Boys) and his coming-of-age trials. The star of the school swimming team, Han Soo lives in a small seaside town with his mother. When his mother becomes comatose after attempting suicide, he gives up swimming, spending all his time at his mother's bedside. With medical bills and reality catching up, Han Soo copes with his financial crisis and adolescent urges in unexpected ways.

Turtles Can Fly
Iraq/Iran/France - Bahman Ghobadi, 2004
Written and directed by Bahman Ghobadi, Turtles Can Fly is a lyrical, heartbreaking portrait of the devastation of war. Set in Ghobadi's native Kurdistan, the film sees life from the perspective of a group of children making do in no man's land. Thirteen-year-old Soran (Soran Ebrahim) is the child leader of his village, organizing minefield sweepings and helping to install antennae and satellite dishes. Soran holds a torch for the orphaned Agrin (Avaz Latif), but her brother disapproves of their relationship.

Invisible Waves
Thailand - Pen-ek Ratanaruang, 2006
Following 2003's Last Life in the Universe, acclaimed Thai director Pen-ek Ratanaruang teams up with cinematographer Christopher Doyle for this moody, pan-Asian neo-noir. Japanese chef Kyoji (Asano Tadanobu) works in a Macau restaurant run by Thai gangsters. On orders from his boss, he kills his lover - who also happens to be the boss's wife. Forced to flee, he jumps on a ship to Thailand. On the ship, Kyoji meets a motley line-up of strange characters, including a young mother (Gang Hye Jung, Old Boy), a monk (Eric Tsang), an all-knowing matron (Maria Cordero), and an odd hitman (Mitsuishi Ken) who was sent to kill him but instead accompanies him on a bizarre trip through Thailand.
