Continuing their string of overtly sentimental albums, the multinational Il Divo released their fourth (including The Christmas Collection) full-length, Siempre, which contains more of the same Latinized versions of pop songs, as well as some originals (written by their producers). All four Divos sound professional and emotional, especially Spanish baritone Carlos Marin, who seems on the verge of tears every time he opens his mouth. The arrangements for the songs (including West Side Story's Somewhere -- the only one that's in English -- and the Italian version of the Moody Blues' Nights in White Satin, among others) are always very clean, with soft acoustic guitars and pianos backed by subtle yet swelling strings, adding to the romanticized idea and portrayal of the group.

Deux ans seulement après son premier album, Il Divo est définitivement le phénomène international de ces dernières années. Les quatre ténors ont donc réussi le difficile pari de rendre populaire l'opéra et le succès ne s'est pas fait attendre avec vingt-six « numéros un » dans le monde, 13 millions d'albums vendus, 104 disques d'or et de platine. Un palmarès impressionnant qui les amène aujourd'hui à sortir leur troisième opus, Siempre, enregistré entre Dublin et la Suède. Aux commandes, toujours les mêmes collaborateurs : Steve Mac, Per Magnusson et David Kreuger.
Avec cet album, Il Divo a souhaité évoluer vers des rythmes un peu plus up-tempo, tout en restant dans les sonorités de ses premiers projets. On retrouve ainsi des guitares et des percussions cubaines, pour une atmosphère que le quatuor a voulu sexy et sensuelle. Les titres sont, pour la plupart, en Italien et Espagnol, exceptés Without You, Nights In White Satin et la reprise du tube de Bryan Adams, Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman?. Un projet, comme à leur habitude, composé de grands standards, tel le célèbre Caruso. Un nouveau cru aussi intense que les précédents.
