In a post-apocalyptic world, in which a large part of the population consists of demented and deformed mutants being kept in reservations, a man embarks upon visiting the ruins of a museum buried under the sea which can only be accessed during low tide.





Civilization as we know it has been destroyed, but remnants remain. In this story, a man has set his heart on visiting a famous pre-apocalypse museum which is now isolated in the midst of a new sea, the result of the melting of the polar icecaps. Those who hold onto the remnants of the old civilization live in isolated settlements, and keep a tight rein on the more numerous mutants, whom they keep in concentration camps (except for those who pressed into duty as servants). The stranger, who is an odd looking man, is taken by these mutants as a long-awaited messiah, and he swiftly becomes involved in the mutant-liberation rebellion, leading his followers to a new land on the other side of the sea.

La civilización como la conocemos ha sido destruida, aunque quedan vestigios de ella. Un hombre llega a un paraje con la intención de visitar un famoso museo que ha quedado aislado en medio del mar. En el lugar conviven algunos habitantes que mantienen ciertas costumbres del pasado con unos extraños seres embrutecidos, en su mayoría aislados en una especie de colonia. El interés del visitante por el museo se va transformando en una obsesión por entender las manifestaciones religiosas de los confinados.

Это последний акт и логическое завершение многовековых отношений Человека и Природы, построенных на ненасытном потребительстве и бездумном мотовстве. Герой социалной антиутопии - один из немногих оставшихся в живых и сохранивших человеческий облик и образ мыслей. "Посетитель" пришел, чтобы искупить вину человечества и спасти несчастных. Он останавливается в доме смотрителя резервации. Но его визит затянется на долгое время, ибо вскоре герой окажется втянут в сложную ситуацию, из-за которой ему придется переосмыслить свое понимание мира и изменить цель.
