This encode is anamorphic, which means that there is no connection between the video resolution and the display aspect ratio. We used the full resolution of 720p (1280x720) and used the Matroska container to set the correct aspect ratio (2.35:1). Normally this encode would have a resolution of 1280x544. By using the full 720p resolution of 1280x720, the video resolution is in this case 32% higher than it normally should have been, which equals a higher picture quality. The horizontal lines are closer to each other than usual.

This encode has been tested succesfully in Media Player Classic and on mediaplayers like the TViX 6500 and the Popcorn Hour A-110. If you're not sure whether your equipment is able to play this encode, please use the sample to test.
