After delivering two hard rock gems, Legs Diamond's third release, Firepower, finds them noticeably lacking exactly that. Only two cuts shoot to kill, "Underground King" and "Midnight Lady", both fiercely rockin' side openers that try to hold the fort against the onslaught of misfires that attack the listener thereafter. They should have just released these two as a great 45 and called it a day, most importantly sparing everyone their unforgivable cover of "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'", which one can only hope was forced upon them at gunpoint. Little else excites anyways, even though several forms of rock are attempted here, all in all just too poppy, commercial and vapid.
