Don't Forget You're Going To Die? How could we? A young bourgeois man with a promising bourgeois future has been drafted. He doesn't want to go. He invents every possible excuse not to be inducted, but he is. On his first night in the barracks, he fakes a suicide, winds up in the hospital, and learns he is HIV positive. Storm clouds roll in and he decides to live his life to the fullest, befriending an Arab ruffneck who introduces him to the fleeting pleasures of dope, bisexual hustling, brothel threesomes, and drug running. Realizing his biological clock is ticking away, he runs away to Italy, falls in love with a young flawless Franco-Italian woman, leaves her to get high in a moving train, and eventually winds up in Bosnia as a soldier for the Serbian army.
