Whenever you see Greatest Hits Remixed you know it's going to split the listeners into two very distinct camps, and although this track-listing is hardly Nina's 'best' this compilation will do exactly the same thing! Remix albums of Gary Numan, Flock Of Seagulls and Shirley Bassey (Diamonds Are Forever) were generally strong and in part this was due to the structure of the original tracks. So when you try to reinvent a soulful torch song into either a 4:4 dance dub or an eclectic 'throw everything in despite the keys jarring' experiment, it's going to be a very mixed bag.

If you're a purist of Nina's originals, best to avoid this unless you've heard snippets first. Some tracks do liven up the originals whilst keeping a raw emotional element, but others try too hard to steer her into a direction she just shouldn't go in.in fact it's about 50:50 on this album. "I Can't See Nobody" is a safe and fairly true funked up version, so it works, as does Groovefinder's remix of "Ain't Got No", the plaintive "My Man's Gone Now", "O-o-h Child", DJ Logic's sympathetic "ObeahWoman" and the surprisingly uplifting dub of "I Wish I Knew", by Rosario/Rival, which closes the set. However "Mosquito" is just too clever by half, "Save Me" is so so, "Turn Me On" is failry uncomfortable and "Here Comes The Sun""Go To Hell" are simply out of tune with poor Nina's vocals. Difficult to overlay such a soulful raw voice onto a synth backing, and in these 2 tracks it unfortunately fails (if they had been dubs it would have been a different story).
