Roman Haubenstock-Ramati (Krakow 1919 - Vienna 1994) was one of the pioneers in the manufacture of pieces, the use of the computers for live-transformations, graphic scores, in working with sound installations and the use of video.

However, despite of this, only fifteen years after his death, it is difficult to find any information on his career. Usually found only slight references to his work in books that deal in a very general way what has happened in contemporary music after the Second World War, which in a very schematic cites: "Composer, who coined the term Mobiles and have carried out different musical works with graphics." This album-Ramati Roman Haubenstock - mobile for Shakespeare, is the first of a series which i´ll post. I particularly recommend a deep listening to the track 08. Mobile for Shakespeare (1960).
