The magnificent 30 year Anniversary Concert was a very special occasion indeed. Around 8000 fans gathered on Stirling Castle Esplanade on Saturday 23rd August 2003. A low sun cast its natural floodlighting onto the Ochil and Campsie ranges, making a theatrical backdrop for the thrilling performance.
Everything, from the weather to the RAF tornados that performed such an impressive fly past, worked to perfection and Stirling 2003 will be remembered as another great Runrig occasion. The new arrangements of old favourites is brilliant, bringing them to life all over again. They may have been celebrating 30 years but this was no stepped-down show, this was a huge production, and Runrig again showed their style and panache. A wonderful concert from a wonderful band.
