In this Stooge short, the boys are greeting card salesmen who try to help a wife by posing as her lovers. When her husband comes home, he sees the Stooges and chases them outside, where they hide in a line of people. Unfortunately for them, it's a line to sign up for the Army! To make matters worse, their commanding officer is the jealous husband who they ran away from. While in training, they march in the opposite direction than their supposed to, run away from the husband, hide in bayonett practice dummies, and their commanding officer does bayonett practice on them! Then, when their on the battlefield, they accidentally give themselves a dose of laughing gas and get captured by the enemy. They make a mess of the enemey's headquarters (while still on lauging gas), get bombed by their side, and ride off into the clouds on a bomb
