The Wicker Man (1973) Original Version

Quote: This is the cult 1973 Scottish film combining thriller, existential horror and musical genres. A police officer arrives at the remote Hebridean island of Summerisle in order to investigate the disappearance of a young girl, after receiving an anonymous letter. A devout Christian himself, he soon discovers that the islanders follow a neo-pagan cult under the island's owner 'Lord Summerisle', believing in re-incarnation, sun-worship and engaging in fertility rituals and sexual magic. Although shocked he persists with his investigations and comes to believe that the girl was a victim, or perhaps is soon to be a victim, of human sacrifice. But things are not as they seem and the film ends in a tragic and surprising way. Code:
