New 2nd pressing with updated booklet, cover art and correct audio mastering. Witchfinder General a real gem in the achives of NWOBHM. This was recorded over 2 nights in July 1983 in Manchester & Leicester shortly after this the band split for another 23 odd years. The song selection is 6 from 1982s Death Penalty & not too discriminate also 6 from the Friends of Hell 1983 release. Imagine guitar work from Phil Cope in the vein of Sabbath's Vol 4 & Sabbath Bloody Sabbath era & that would be pretty close to the mark. Singer Zeeb Parkes can really belt out the notes. Just a shame he disappeared from the music scene shortly after. Bassist Rod Hawkes & Derm Redmond complete the lineup. Rock solid groundwork. Doom rock at the best..check it out.
